Describe the main furniture you expect to take and point out anything you’re undecided about. If that changes after the quote, tell Porta so we can check the effect on the removal.
What if the stairs in our new house are narrower?
Mention this when you enquire, with photos or measurements if you have them. A piece that comes out of the old house easily may need a different approach at the new one, so we need to consider both.
Can the removal be arranged around our key handover?
Include the proposed date and key-collection arrangements with your enquiry. If the timing hasn’t been settled, explain that too so we can review the move with it in mind.
Can I add photos after sending the enquiry?
Email the photo or video links to info@portadelivery.co.uk, mentioning your enquiry and the collection address so we can identify the move. They can be useful if you’ve since spotted an awkward entrance or a piece that needs particular care.
What do you need to know about fragile furniture?
Point out pieces such as glass-fronted cabinets or furniture with delicate fittings, and include photos if possible. Mention any damage or loose parts as well, so the handling can be considered when we review the job.
