Feedback on Porta moving and delivery bookings across the UK.
Porta was a really easy way to find a moving company to help with our collection and delivery. Love the simplicity and regular updates. Moving partner (Ran Transport & Logisitcs) were fantastic too. Great service!
Was a little apprehensive with the unknown but the move went seamlessly. Collected and delivered on time, good communication throughout. Would recommend them and also use them again. Great service 👏👏👏👏
By far the best experience we've had with a courier service. Super communicative, pleasant to speak to the driver, affordable even for moving large pieces of furniture around. We used for an ebay furniture pick up and will definitely use again.
A few details that help us quote
Tell Porta about the full move in one enquiry:
- The two addresses and the date you hope to move.
- Your main furniture and appliances, with a rough idea of the boxes.
- Anything else coming from a garage, loft or garden.
- Fragile, awkward or especially heavy pieces that need planning.
- A brief note if access at either home affects loading.
Room photos or a short video can make the size of the move easier to show.

Chester house removal questions
How do I get a price for a Chester house move?
Tell Porta about your household, both addresses and likely date. We review the work and prepare a fixed quote for the removal you describe.
Can Porta arrange a move from Chester to another city?
Yes. Porta can consider a Chester house move to another UK address, as well as a move into Chester. Include the full journey when you enquire.
What if I am still waiting for a completion date?
You can enquire with the date you expect and say what is not yet agreed. Porta can discuss the job and check arrangements as your plans become firmer.
Can the quote include everything in the house?
The fixed quote is for the furniture, boxes and other belongings included in the move you describe. Mention items in a loft, garage or garden if they are coming too.
What if I decide to take more furniture?
Let Porta know what has changed, even if you have already booked. We can check whether the quote and partner arrangements need updating.
Who carries out a Porta house removal?
A vetted independent moving partner carries out the removal. Porta arranges and confirms that partner after you accept the agreed quote.
