Yes. Independent drivers on the platform use vehicles ranging from cars and vans through to larger commercial vehicles. There are no weight or size limits built into the booking system. If a standard carrier has refused your item, enter the details and get a quote.

It depends on your booking tier. Essential bookings have no Porta-managed goods-in-transit insurance. Standard bookings include insurance claim support arranged via Porta. Premium adds faster resolution and payouts where applicable. Real-Time SMS Updates are included on Standard and Premium bookings only.

Can businesses use Porta for regular next-day deliveries?

Yes. Retailers, manufacturers, facilities managers and other businesses use the platform regularly for next-day stock transfers, equipment moves and trade deliveries. No account setup is needed to get a quote. For recurring requirements, the business page covers bespoke options.

Does the driver go through a depot or hub?

No. The independent driver who collects your item delivers it directly. Nothing passes through a sortation hub, overnight depot or relay system. It is a single dedicated journey from collection address to delivery address.

Can Porta collect marketplace purchases for next-day delivery?

Yes. eBay purchases, Facebook Marketplace collections and other second-hand or private sale items are regularly handled through the platform. If the seller cannot package it as a standard parcel, a Porta driver can collect and deliver it directly.

What payment methods does Porta accept?

All payments go through Stripe on the Porta platform. Accepted methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut. No cash is accepted at any point. Neither Porta nor its Moving Partners take cash payments.
